Free Platform To Practice Big Data



There are quite a few Free Platform To Practice Big Data. Good thing is - Both Cloud and Desktop set-ups are available if you really want to Get a good hands-on. Below is a Comprehensive list of some of the Practice options you can consider -

1. Databricks:

It has both Community Edition(Fully Free) & Trial Version(14-Day Trial). I personally like the Community Edition. It have a very good notebook facility to try out or Practice code quickly. Link - https://databricks.com/try-databricks

2. Cloudera:

Cloudera Quickstart VM is my personal favourite. You will get a Complete Linux box with Most of the Big Data softwares already installed. All you need to do is practice. This is a Pseudo Node Cluster or 1-Node cluster. If you prefer a Look-and-Feel of a Linux environment for Big Data work , this is for you. 3. GCP - Google Cloud Platform:

GCP is also a very good platform. This also give you 12-months of Free Access . Another Good option . You can build your own Big Data Multi-node Cluster. Link - https://cloud.google.com/free/

4. Cloud Dataproc:

Cloud Dataproc is another Google Cloud Platform. It is Fully Managed Cloud service for running Apache Spark & Hadoop Clusters. It also integrates well with GCP. Link - https://cloud.google.com/dataproc/

5. AWS - Amazon Web Services:

You can create a Free AWS account and get 12-Months of Free Access. There you can build own Big Data Cluster with Multiple nodes. This is also a very good option. Link - https://aws.amazon.com/
