Best Laptop Hardware Configuration for Coding (DL,ML,Big Data) ?
Assuming you are planning to do some CPU & GPU intensive tasks – might be Practicing Deep Learning or Machine Learning models with Heavy Datasets or creating Multi-Node Cluster for Big Data. On either cases , it is a recommended to have a Laptop with below specifications –
1. RAM
Ram => 16GB (More the Better !)
2. GPU
** NVDIA GPU >= 1050 , 1050Ti (for deep learning) should be okay .**
3. Processor
** i7 processor ( 7th\8th Gen or if even Newer version available) .**
4. Hard Disk
** SSD preferably for faster data processing , but Non-SSD works as well.** I personally own Dell Inspiron 5577 laptop which has 16 GB RAM (I upgraded from built-in 8 GB RAM) , i7 processor & NVDIA GEFORCE GTX – Serves the purpose. Also as an alternative , , you could also try the various Cloud options. I will write another Blog Post on the various Cloud options available . Till Then – Happy Coding !
